Attire:  Please check the “Upcoming Events” schedule for the type of attire to wear.  Swimsuits for boys & girls can be one or two piece, shoes required for all contestants. Sunday Best is something you would wear to church – Teens can wear a prom dress but keep glitz to a minimum. 

Jeans can be shorts, skirt, overalls, capris, etc.

 

Beauty & Judging Guidelines:  Contestants will be judged on head to toe natural beauty, personality and overall appearance.   Straight walk only.  No fancy runway modeling or removing any garments.  NO MAKE-UP for contestants birth – 9 years.  Contestants 10-16 years may wear lip gloss and a small amount of mascara!  Hair spray should be kept to a minimum.  Each Division Winner will receive a  Beautiful Tiara (girls) Hawaiian Tropic medallion (boys), Hawaiian Tropic Product, gift and $100.00 Swimsuit entry fee paid to the 2008/2009 NC/SC Hawaiian Tropic State Finals in August 08.

 

Photogenic:  (optional) - Submit an 8x10 color or black & white photo at registration (do not mail photos).  Please label child’s name and age division on the back of the photo.  Photos are judged on personality, quality and naturalness.  Winners will receive a Medallion and a gift.

 

Best Smile, Best Personality & Most Beautiful/Handsome:  (optional) - These are judged during the collective line up.   Winners will receive Medallions or a gift (director’s choice).

 

Casual Wear  - (Optional) - If Casual Wear or Costume is offered at the prelim, it will be listed in the “Upcoming Events” as to what should be worn.

 

ALL CONTESTANTS will have their $100.00 swimsuit entry fee paid to the 2008/2009 NC/SC Hawaiian Tropic State finals in August 2008 and Hawaiian Tropic Product.  NO CONTESTANT WILL LEAVE EMPTY HANDED!!!

 

Majestic Winner - There will be ONE winner chosen from the entire pageant.  He/She will receive a Beautiful Tiara, Hawaiian Tropic Product, Gift and ALL FEES PAID TO THE 2008/2009 NC/SC HAWAIIAN TROPIC STATE FINALS (State fees paid will apply only if there are 30 or more contestant).  To qualify, you must enter ALL events.  The one contestant with the highest total score will be the “MAJESTIC WINNER”. THERE WILL BE 2 MAJESTICS AWARDED IF THERE ARE 40 CONTESTANTS OR MORE.

No experience is necessary, only smiles and enthusiasm.  This will be a day that your family will treasure for years to come.  Participating in Hawaiian Tropic Pageants can open many doors for your child.  Representatives from children’s modeling and talent agencies sometimes are in attendance, just waiting to spot those with that super smile or that fantastic personality!  We all know that sometimes all it takes is being in the right place at the right time to become that next rising star.

Entries should be mailed 5 days prior to the model search.  You may pay in full or send a deposit of $30.00.  The balance due at registration MUST be cash or money order.  If for any reason you cannot meet the deadline but intend to participate, call or email before the event to let me know you plan to attend. There will be a $25.00 service charge on all returned checks.  RLF Productions is an independent production company.
